Call for Ideas

Shaftesbury Town Council would like you to have a say in what the community land, known as Mampitts Square, is used for.

Councillor George Hall, Chairman of the Recreation, Open Spaces and Environment Committee said “There is great potential for this piece of land to provide facilities and a community area for local people and visitors. We would like to hear from local people to say what type of area you want this to be.”

Councillor John Lewer, Mayor of Shaftesbury said “We would like to know what Shaftesbury wants from this large piece of undeveloped land. This is a golden opportunity to shape this area and the community facilities available to Shaftesbury.”

There will be a public engagement event on Saturday, 8th April at Mampitts Lane, and at the Market on the High Street on Thursday 19th April.

Ideas are welcome from residents, community groups, youth groups and local organisations.
