Shaftesbury Town Council in collaboration with Shaftesbury and District Chamber of Commerce welcomes and pledges its support for the ‘Small Business Saturday’ initiative planned for December 2nd, which aims to encourage people to shop in small, local shops.

Small Business Saturday is a national initiative that celebrates local independent firms, including the traders and retailers that contribute to the unique character of our high streets, town centres and villages.

This is a great opportunity for small retailers to promote their businesses and we encourage members of the community to show their support and keep some of their Christmas shopping local in Shaftesbury this year.  It is important we recognise and support the essential role that small businesses play in developing a thriving local economy. Small Business Saturday presents the perfect opportunity to showcase the wonderful independent retail offer in Shaftesbury.

As an added incentive to shop locally we are delighted to announce the Council owned car parks will be free for shoppers on Saturday 2nd December.

To keep up to date with what is happening across Shaftesbury on 2nd December please like us on Facebook and keep an eye out for the posters across town.

Businesses that want to get involved can either register using the following link or contact             Brie Logan, Business Manager on 01747 859342
