Shaftesbury Town Council is flying its Union Flag at half-mast today and tomorrow, Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th June 2017, as a mark of respect for all those affected by the terrorist attack in London on Saturday night.

The Mayor of Shaftesbury said

"For the second time in a fortnight we are faced with an atrocious and cowardly act.  In remembrance of those who lost their lives in London, and in solidarity with the bereaved, and all those whose lives have been changed for ever, the Council's Union Flag will fly at half-mast, and we will observe a minute's silence at 11am tomorrow (Tuesday 6th June).

Councillor John Lewer, Mayor of Shaftesbury.

The flag will return to full mast on Wednesday unless a contrary notice is issued.
